The other day I received an email. It read as follows...

Hello,

I got your information from a Mr.************ who highly recommended you to be a guest speaker at our facility.  Phoenix House is a Adolescent Drug Rehabilitation Treatment Center.  We are both a residential and out-patient campus.  I work directly with the residential clients who live here up to 6 months or longer.  It would be great to have you speak to our kids who really need extra motivation.  Recently, Kara DiGuadio from American Idol donated and had built a music studio for each Phoenix House in the USA and we have quite a few.  Eventually, we will work with our kids in hopes of them finding their music talents.  Meanwhile, it would be wonderful if we could have a visit from you!

And that’s all it took. They asked and they received. And the kids at Phoenix House benefitted. And being the Musician with a Message that I am…When I go places, I don’t just speak, I perform and throw some motivational messages inbetween songs.  I’ve been doing this for over 7 years now and am proud to say I am still impacting lives for the better and making music that moves people. I love my job!
