Are you doing destiny or watching it?

Last night my Texas Longhorns lost.  It hurt.  But shortly after I left Barney’s Beanery in Pasadena I was over it.  I was back in the comfort of my West Coast residence and watching highlights on TV.  Sadly I saw that on the same highway I had just traveled there was a near fatal accident and that two peole were being removed from their smashed up vehicle with the jaws of life.  Wow. Life comes at you fast.

But yeah…the Texas Longhorns lost.  And that was that.  No big deal right?  It’s just a game.  To me.  To Colt McCoy and Mark Ingram it’s destiny.  But to me and every other spectator, it should be just a game.  Entertainment.

Personally I find it amazing how fascinated people are watching other people live their dream while they only wish they could live theirs.  Perhaps if they did less wishing and watching, and more planning and doing, then they would become the sight that everybody wants to see.  If nothing else, they’d be doing destiny and they’d prolly be too concerned doing that than worried about whose watching anyway.

What do you think?
